Our Philosophy
What sets TEI apart from the
others? First and foremost is our unconditional labor and workmanship
guarantee that we stand behind for as long as you live in your

We believe in taking the fear and uncertainty out of home
improvement/remodeling projects by extensive communication with the
client before, during, and after the project. With over 50 years of
combined experience we are able to assist in the design, product
selection, and other various aspects of the project to help the Client
achieve their home improvement/remodeling goals. During the construction
phase, we are available at any time to answer any questions and will
schedule regular progress meetings during the project. Upon completion
of the project, we will schedule a detailed walk through to go over any
final requirements that might need to be done. Finally, after the
project is completed, we will be contacting you periodically to ensure
your continued satisfaction.
Some contractors start a home improvement/remodeling project and then
may or may not be on the job site each day or days at a time. Not TEI!
Once the building permit has been issued for your job, we will have a
crew on-site every available workday until the project is completed –
weather permitting. We make it a point to order material needed for your
project and any special order material and/or equipment far enough in
advance so any delays in waiting for materials is eliminated or kept to
an absolute minimum.
Unlike other contractors TEI uses it’s own work force and makes every
attempt to minimize the use of subcontractors. With projects involving
plumbing, electric work and heating/air conditioning, subcontractors
are needed due to Virginia Certifications / Licenses. Any time a
subcontractor is scheduled to be at your home, either Phil, Steve, or
the Site Supervisor will be there with them. Our subcontractors have
worked with us on many sites and have consistently met our quality
standards and expectations. We consider access to your home to be a very
special trust and under no circumstances will the keys to your home be
duplicated or given to a subcontractor.
Through experience, TEI understands that the highest quality materials
and exacting construction techniques will stand the test of time. This
is how TEI can have an unconditional guarantee that lasts as long as you
live in your house.
We make a concerted effort to insure your unconditional satisfaction
before we expect final payment for our work. Further, our labor and
workmanship guarantee assures you that any problems you might encounter
after the project is complete will be our number one work priority.
Ninety percent of our business comes from referrals from our previous
satisfied customers or from repeat business from prior clients with new
projects.
Through membership in
professional organizations we keep up to date with the latest developments in
the construction industry.
